Who we are

Mighty Web Designs is a web design company based in Clarks Summit, PA 18411. This policy explains what information we collect through mightywebdesigns.com, how we use it and the choices you have. If you have a question about it, email hello@mightywebdesigns.com or call 570.955.6916.

Information you give us

When you fill in our contact form, quote form or free audit form, we receive what you enter: usually your name, email address and message, and, if you choose to share them, your phone number, business name, website address, budget and project details.

We also receive the information in any email you send us or anything you tell us on the phone.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our server keeps basic logs, such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested. We use them to keep the site secure and working.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site: which pages they view, how they found us, the type of device and their approximate location (usually the city, worked out from the IP address, which Google Analytics doesn’t store). Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. We don’t use it to identify you personally.

Our chat assistant

Our website has an AI chat assistant that answers questions about our services. What you type in the chat is sent to the companies that provide the chat platform and the AI that writes the replies, so the assistant can respond. The chat platform keeps the chat history, but it doesn’t ask you for any other personal information.

Each conversation is also saved on our own server and emailed to our team, so we can follow up with you, for example when you ask us to get back to you or leave your name, email address or phone number. Conversations saved on our server are deleted automatically after 30 days.

You can start a new conversation at any time from the chat window. That doesn’t delete the earlier one from our server, which still happens after 30 days, but you can ask us to delete it sooner. Please don’t share sensitive personal information, such as passwords or payment details, in the chat.

Our client portal

If you become a client, we keep your account details, such as your name, business name, email address, phone number and billing address, in our own client portal, which runs on our own servers. We use it to send invoices, answer support requests and send emails about the services you have with us.

How we use your information

We use the information you send us to reply to you, prepare quotes and audits, provide the services you hire us for and keep records of our work together. We use analytics data to improve the website.

We don’t sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services that help us run the website and our business, such as our email provider, Google Analytics and the companies behind our chat assistant. They handle it under their own terms and privacy policies. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Cookies and your choices

Cookies are small files your browser stores. Most of ours come from Google Analytics, and the chat assistant may store a cookie or similar data so a conversation can continue from page to page. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers an opt-out add-on for Google Analytics. The site still works without them.

How long we keep it

We keep messages and form submissions for as long as we need them to respond, to work with you and to keep reasonable business records. Chat conversations saved on our server are deleted after 30 days, and the copies emailed to our team are kept like our other business email. Client portal records are kept while you’re a client and afterwards as needed for tax and business records. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics settings.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it, unless we have to keep it for legal, tax or contract reasons. Email hello@mightywebdesigns.com and we’ll help. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy laws.

Security

The site runs over a secure (HTTPS) connection, and we take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No website or email system is completely secure, though, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our website and services are meant for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Other websites

Our site links to other websites, such as client sites in our portfolio and our Google and Facebook profiles. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
